My preschool class had a treasure chest hunt. I made up different clues for areas that were around my room for the children to find. I used areas that the children played in a lot. They had to solve each clue which brought them closer to the hidden treasure chest. I used both indoors and outdoors. The children wore their eye patches at this time.
Walk the plank – Using a five foot board (approximately, tape on ten footprint shapes. Number them 1 – 10. You can place the board between two chairs or just lay it on the floor. Have each child “walk the plank” counting as he/she goes. Great for number recognition and one to one correspondence.
