Valentine’s Day Songs

Have a penny and tell the children sitting in a circle to pass the penny to the friend beside them until it reaches back to the beginning, that being the teacher and sing:

Love is something if you give it away. Give it away. Give it away.

Love is something if you give it away, you end up having more.

It’s just like having a magic penny, hold it tight, and you won’t have any. Lend it, spend it, you’ll have so many, they’ll roll all over the floor.

Cause, love is something if you give it away, give it away, give it away. Love is something if you give it away. You end up having more.

Valentine Hearts, Written by the kindergarten class at Children’s Junction Daycare.

5 Little Valentine’s sitting on some lace

The first one said, I like this place.

The second one said, Red and pink are nice.

The third one said you can say that twice.

The fourth one said, Let’s kiss an kiss and kiss.

The fifth one said, I hope you don’t miss.

Valentine song (Any tune)

One red valentine, two red valentines, three red valentines, four.

I cut and cut and paste and paste and then make twenty more.

This is one that I learned as a kid that never left me….

Will you be my V-A-L-E-N-T-I-N-E?

If you will you know how very happy I will be!

Sugar and spice and all things nice

is what you are to me.

Will you be my V-A-L-E-N-T-I-N-E?

I want to send my sweetheart dear

a little Valentine.

All made with hearts and arrows

bright on lacy paper fine.

And way up in the corner dear twill

have a little dove

And underneath this message “To my

sweetheart with my love”
