Turkey Songs

Sung to “Where is thumbkin”

I eat turkey

I eat turkey

Yes, I do

Yes, I do

Turkey in my tummy

Yummy, yummy, yummy

Good for me

Good for you!

Little Pilgrim went to look to find a turkey for the cook (kids have hands on their forehead looking)
The Turkey spread it’s wings out wide (kids flap their arms)
and flew up in the tree to hide (point upwards) HIDE! (kids cover their eyes)
“Gobble Gobble Gobble” said he you won’t make a Thanks Giving Feast of me (point to your chest and shake head)
Little Pilgrim went to look to find a turkey for the cook, to find a turkey for the cook Gobble Gobble.

(To the Tune of Five Little Pumpkins)

Five Little Turkeys sitting in a pen.

The First one says “It’s Farmer Ben”

The Second one says “It’s Thanksgiving Day!”

The Third one says “Lets run away!”

The Fourth one says “We’re in trouble.”

The Fifth one says “Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!”

When Farmer Ben opens the gate, the five little turkeys all escape.

Here are the words to a Thanksgiving song I think my husband made up. It’s to the tune of “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!”

Turkey, Turkey on my table,

I will eat all that I’m able.

Turkey, stuffing, peas,

Pass the sweet potatoes please!

I love Thanksgiving Day!

Gobble! Gobble!

To the tune of “I’m a little teapot”

I’m a little turkey, fluffy and round

My wings flip flop when I turn around

I’ve got lots of feathers on my back

And a big orange beak that goes click clack
