Preschool and Kindergarten Graduation Songs

I made up a song to close our Head Start graduation program. It is sung to the tune of “My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean.”

We hope you enjoyed our program

We thank you for coming today

We thank you for all that you’ve done for us

As we go our separate ways

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye to all of my friends

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye to all of my friends

Good luck to everyone on graduation day!

If anyone is looking for a fantastic graduation song, try Billy Dean’s, Let Them Be Little. You will cry, but the song has a great message.

We made lyrics to Pomp and Circumstance by having the student add one word to sum up the end of the year, they can get silly and that’s okay!:

Its been a great year
we’ve had so much fun
now here are some words
to sum up all that we’ve done…
Brandon says thank you,
Sophia says goodbye,
Emma likes horses,
and Isabel likes to dance..
we all must move on
to learn and to grow
thanks mom and dad for helping,
and teaching me all that you know!

Last year, I did a slide show of what the children want to be when they grow up to R. Kelly’s “the World’s Greatest”

I teach K- and for our end of the year graduation we got the Veggie tales Cd “Oh Veggie Where Art Thou” It has the old Christian Hymns, then are kids were all in overalls our girls hair was all in pick tails and they all had bandanas in their back pocket. They were precious!!! But we did throw in our abc’s, numbers, and bible verses. Our stage had a background of a farm with animals and our stage had hay bales on it. (That is what the kids sat on) It was a huge success!!!

Graduation Day sung to the tune of I’m a Little Teapot

We’re the four year old’s, on graduation day
Proud of ourselves in every way
We had lots of fun and made friends too
Now we’re off to go to the big kids school
Next year, we’ll ride the bus and our Mom’s will cry
As they see us from the window while we wave good-bye
All throughout the day she’ll think of me
If I’ve found the right bus or scraped my knee.
Now it’s three o’clock and time to go
We’ll be coming down the street, before you know
I’ll hop off of the bus and there you’ll be, with a hug and a kiss and a smile for me.
