How do young children learn self-control, self-help, ways to get along with others, and family and school procedures? This learning occurs when parents and teachers of infants, toddlers, or preschoolers are constantly involved in setting limits, encouraging desired behaviors, and making decisions about managing children. This class will help you learn how to guide children to desirable behavior. We will discuss:
Each student will have access to an online classroom where we will meet once a week. In addition, a workshop web site is provided where they will have access to: Downloadable files Class polls Communication with each other through the class message board Pictorial examples of many of the activities At the end of the workshop, students will have gained a new appreciation for positive guidance in the classroom along with a HUGE resource of activities, ideas, and web sites to help put into action what they have learned.
