(to the tune or chant as Brown Bear, Brown Bear)

Goldfish, goldfish, who do you see? I see a……swimming with me lobster….. starfish shark dolphin octopus hermit crab whale and I end with …lots of fish swimming with me.

FIVE LITTLE FISHIES

finger play: put the appropriate number of fingers up with one hand and use your other hand to “swim” your “fish” around.

Five little fishies swimming at the store, one was bought and then there were four!
Four little fishies swimming by me, one was bought and then there were three!
Three little fishies swimming by you, one was bought and then there were two!
Two little fishies swimmin’ for fun, one was bought and then there was one!
One little fishy swimmin’ all alone, I bought him and took him home!

A Sailor Went To Sea

A Sailor went to sea, sea, sea. To see what he could see, see, see. But all that he could see, see, see. Was the bottom of the deep blue sea, sea, sea. (Whenever we sing “sea or see” we bring our hand to our forehead like a salute. We sing it three times, each time a little bit faster. On the 4th time, we sing all of the words except for “sea or see”. When we get to these words we zip our lips but still do the salute.

Sung to Twinkle Twinkle

Sticky sticky little starfish,
How I wonder what you are,
Beneath the sea so cool and blue
Can you see me as I see you?
Sticky sticky little starfish
Beneath the sea so cool and blue!

Five little fishes

Five little fishes swimming in the sea
teasing Mr. Shark
you can’t catch me you can’t catch me!
Well along came Mr. Shark as quiet as can be
SNAPPED that fish right out of the sea.
