By accident, after listening to The Donut Man’s Matthew 5:16 song which was our memory verse for the month, the children wanted to hear the next song which was ‘The Good Samaritan’. I played it, and then the next thing you know they were wanting to ‘act it out’. So, no props except the tape of the song, and the person who was the ‘priest’ carried a children’s Bible, and they acted it out while the song was playing. We took turns on character roles, and at some point, everyone participated by laying on the floor pretending to be hurt and ignored by everyone but the Good Samaritan!
We also broke the class in two to act out the Christmas story after having read the story in December. It worked out really good to have one half watch/audience, and the other half ‘act’. 🙂 There again, no props
