Planting a Rainbow
Materials Needed: Easel paper, paint – colors of the rainbow, the book, “Planting a Rainbow”
Read the book, “Planting a Rainbow”. This book is about planting seeds, watching them sprout, and grow, into all the different colors of the rainbow. After reading the story, have the children paint their interpretation of their Rainbow Garden.
I got this idea from Family Magazine.
At the bottom of a white piece of paper – glue on a lima bean. Then ask children to draw what they would like to grow from the bean. Some of my children drew dinosaurs, toys, houses, babies, and of course flowers. It is a great project to use the imagination!
