Flower Songs

Tune : My Darling Clementine
Yellow flowers, blue flowers,
red flowers I can see.
Pink flowers, orange flowers in the garden I can see.

Growing Flowers (Finger play)

Little flowers in the ground (wiggle fingers on the floor), Watch the wind blow you round and round (move fingers in circular motion) Grow up to the sky so tall (wiggle fingers slowly upward), If I don’t water you, you will fall (quickly move fingers back to ground).

Sing to tune of I’m a Little Tea Pot

I’m a little flower,
green and red
I grew up in a flower bed,
With a little rain and lots of care,
Flowers, Flowers Everywhere.

To the tune of Farmer in the Dell:

The flower has some roots, the flower has some roots.
The roots will carry food and drink, the flower has some roots.

The flower has a stem, the flower has a stem.
The stem will make it stand up tall, the flower has a stem.

The flower has some leaves, the flower has some leaves.
The leaves will catch the rain and sun, the flower has some leaves.

The flower has some petals, the flower has some petals.
The petals call the birds and bees, the flower has some petals.
