Fall Songs

Here are two Harvest/Fall songs sung to the tune of Are You Sleeping?

Leaves are falling Leaves are falling To the ground To the ground Look at all the leaves Look at all the leaves Red, Yellow, and Brown Red, yellow and brown

(I know for a fact that 3yr. olds love this song)

Pumpkins are growing Pumpkins are growing In the patch In the patch Look at all the pumpkins Look at all the pumpkins Orange and Round Orange and Round

 Falling Leaves Chant

Red and Yellow
Green and Brown
See the leaves come tumbling down!

Have the children pretend that they are different colors of leaves and show you how they would tumble from the tree.

Little Leaves (tune:” Ten Little Indians”) One little, two little, three little leaves. Four little, five little, six little leaves. Seven little, eight little, nine little leaves. Ten little leaves fall down.

Pretty Leaves Are Falling Down (tune:” London Bridges”) Pretty leaves are falling down, falling down, falling down. Pretty leaves are falling down, all around the town.

Let’s rake them up in a pile, in a pile, in a pile. Let’s rake them up in a pile, all around the town.

Let’s all jump in and have some fun, have some fun, have some fun. Let’s all jump in and have some fun, all around the town.

Poem

Here is a leaf that is yellow and brown. ( hold up one finger) Here is a leaf that Johnny found. ( hold up one finger on opposite hand) Put them together and you’ll have two one for me and one for you. (point toward yourself then at a friend.)
