Attend Workshops In The Comfort Of Your Own Home If you would be interested in participating in an online workshop, please read the FAQ below 1. What is the cost of each workshop and how can I pay? All the workshops cost $10.00. However, several times a year I run a special on the workshops. I prefer payment through PayPal. To pay by snail mail with a personal check, please complete the form at http://www.perpetualpreschool.com/check_mail.htm. 2. Where would the workshops be held and how would they be conducted? All the workshops are now self-study. This means that you do not have to sign in at any specific time. All the work can be completed at your leisure during the three week duration of the workshop. You can e-mail me at daylene@perpetualpreschool.com if you have any questions. However, remember....the workshops are self-study. 3. What will I get from an online workshop? The information you receive from the online workshops will be exactly the same information you would receive if it were "live". You will get tons of practical information that you can use in your classroom. You will receive a printed transcript of the workshop, hand-outs, and personal interaction with other classmates via the course web site. 4. Will I get a certificate of completion? At the end of the class, provided that you have completed all of the assignments, a certificate of completion will be issued which states how many clock hours you participated in. To view a sample certificate, please go to http://www.perpetualpreschool.com/certificate_information.htm. 5. Will the clock hours I earn count toward continuing education that I am required to complete for the state I live in or my place of work? I have been teaching online workshops for almost 7 years and have found that the the clock hours you complete will normally be accepted as in-service hours for state licensing. However, it is your responsibility to make sure that the workshop hours can be counted toward your state or jobs continuing ECE unit requirements. 6. How long will the workshops last? Each workshop runs 3 weeks in duration. If you need more time to complete the work, let me know. 7. Who can participate in the workshops? Anyone who works with young children! This includes people who home school their children, preschool teachers, infant-toddler teachers, Sunday school teachers, parents, elementary school teachers, etc....... 8. What happens if I have to miss one of the workshops? Remember, these workshops are self-study. If something happens where you can not complete the workshop in the 3-week timeframe, let me know and we can work something out. 9. Will the workshop topics be applicable to all early childhood educators? Yes. For instance, the workshop on Creating Learning Materials For Your Classroom would be appropriate for those who work with infants-toddlers through elementary school. In addition, some specialization workshops will be offered in the future. 10. Can I get a refund for my registration fee if I can't attend the classes after registering? If you wish to drop a workshop, you MUST let me know before the start date. After you have been e-mailed the instructions on how to start your workshop the registration fee is nonrefundable. 11. HELP!!! I paid for a workshop and did not receive the instructions on the day it was to start. There are several reasons you might not receive your instructions for a workshop you paid for: You used one e-mail address to pay through PayPal, but use another for your own personal use. ALL correspondence is sent to the e-mail address that was used to pay for the workshop. PLEASE check that address. To prevent any fraud....NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this rule. You typed in your e-mail address incorrectly when you paid for the workshop. This happens to the best of us. If you do not receive receive your instructions within 8 hours of the start date, just e-mail me and let me know. I will then correct your address and send the instructions. The Internet gremlins ate your instructions. I send out over 50 pieces of e-mail each day. Sometimes for no rhyme or reason, the e-mail just is not delivered. Once again, if you do not receive your instructions within 8 hours of the start date, let me know and I will resend them to you. You have a spam filtering program. Today, almost everyone has some type of spam filtering program running on their computer. However, sometimes they filter out legitimate e-mails. If this is the case, please add the following e-mail addresses, daylene@perpetualpreschool email@perpetualpreschool.com summerspecial@perpetualpreschool.com to your ALLOWED list. If you have gone through all the troubleshooting steps above and STILL do not receive your instructions, call my voice mail at: 520-840-0609. 11. WOW!!! You gave us your phone number. I guess that means that I can call you 24-7, right? Please remember.....like you I have a family and I take weekends off. PLEASE do not call me after 6:00 p.m. MST or on the weekends. Believe it or not I really have received calls about the workshops late at night and even during church on Sunday morning. 12.
