Date: 3-10-00This idea comes from Abingdon's Bible Zone teacher's guide. We made these to go along with our Bible lesson from Acts 3:1-10. This is the story about Peter and John and the healing of a man who could not walk. J BREAD you will need: canned bread stick dough, cinnamon and sugar sprinkle 1-separate and shape strips into the letter J. 2-sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar 3-bake according to directions on the container Tell the children that J is the first letter of Jesus and in the words Jump and Joy. Remind your class that the man in the Bible story jumped for joy when he was healed in Jesus' name.
Date: 1-10-00Stormy sea shakes... In a zip lock baggie put two tsp. of berry yogurt and one half cup milk and a quarter of banana, sliced thin. Zip bag closed and squish all ingredients together until liquid or close to it, and open one edge of bag, insert straw and sip your stormy sea shake! Yum! Date: 11-21-98Teach the miracles of the feeding of the five thousand (Matthew 14:15-22, 5 loaves and two fishes) or the feeding of the four thousand (Matthew 15:32-39, seven loaves and a few fishes). As a snack, provide individual loaves (rolls, bread sticks, etc.) and gold fish crackers. |
