I work in a Christian daycare where I have the 2 year olds. Our latest bulletin board was a big hit! I cut out big letters which I drew freehand to give it a childlike look...red, blue, yellow and green in a repeating pattern. I spelled out "JESUS LOVES ME!" and placed it at the top of the bulletin board. Over the course of the year I take lots of photos of the children in my class. I took 4 pictures of each child and randomly attached them to the bulletin board along with some photos of all of us together. The parents loved it and the kids enjoy looking at the pictures of themselves and each other!

The theme is "Jesus is TOAD-ally Awesome. You take a print out (from a coloring book) of a frog, and have each child color the frog. You can put a picture of a child in the belly of the frog, and under neath write why each child think Jesus is Awesome. This can also be used for reading. "Reading is TOAD-ally Awesome!

Our March bulletin board goes along with the theme of lions and lambs. Each child cuts a large lamb from preprinted white paper, colors the face and feet, and glues lots of cotton balls to the body. When these dry, I put them on a purple background, and add the words "I am Jesus' Little Lamb". This is also our song of the month, and I have printed the words to the song and some graphics out, mounted them on coordinating construction paper, and laminated them. They go in the corner of the display. Another board that could use lambs is "I'm not Lion... Jesus loves me". For this one, children could make lions from paper plates, add sticky tape in mane colors, and add wiggle eyes.

Read Matthew 14:22-33 to the children. Talk about when Peter had his eyes on Jesus that he was able to walk on water and when he turned his eyes from Jesus he was frightened of the storm and started to sink. Can we walk on water? Anything is possible with god, but we always have to remember to keep our eyes on Jesus! I have my class make "oceans in a bottle" to go with this lesson. Have each child take a 16 0z. clear soda bottle and drop 2 drops blue food coloring in, then add 1/2 cup baby oil and fill almost to the top with water. For added fun I had the children put glitter and fish cut from fun foam in their bottles too. Then hot glue the caps on.. Then they tape a pre printed verse on their bottle:" When we forget that Jesus is here to help us, the storms of life can cause us to sink. When we keep our eyes on Jesus we can do mighty things for God by faith...

Read 2 Corinthians 5:17. Give each child a piece of blue playdough and tell them it represent them and when they were born God gave them a spirit. Now give each of them a piece of red playdough and tell them God sent his only son Jesus to die on the cross and shed his blood for our salvation. When a person believes this and asks Jesus to be their savior, he sends the Holy Spirit to live in their hearts. Have them start mixing the playdough together. At first their is not many changes and God needs a little time to help us but pretty soon look what happens. What color is the playdough? Purple... Purple is the color of Royalty and now you are all a child of the king, and he has made you a new creature in him...

I teach at a Methodist Preschool, to 3 year olds. My BB theme for the beginning of our school year is simply worded "HOW GREAT THOU ART'. I like being inspired by biblical and Christian values, and I'm sure our Preschool's parents do too. Some other ideas I've used are "MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD', this looks great as a Christmas theme with angels, harps, and musical instruments. Looking for some great Christian internet material? I found a wealth of information at www.christianmedia.co.uk

For our February bulletin board in the worship area, my students cut out paper hearts, glue a small photo of themselves in the center, and used glitter glue to decorate. When dry the hearts are put up around a picture of Jesus and small children. The title is "Jesus is My Valentine". The children love to see their friends' pictures, and it fits in well with our theme of love and friendship this month.

A great transition after a devotion in which we discussed how Jesus loves children is to print the following on strips of paper. "Jesus (heart shape)(child's name)." Make one for each child in your class. As a close to circle, read each card, and have that child tuck the card into their backpack to "read" to mom and dad at home.
