2-20-00You will need, plastic beaker, dropper, water, food coloring, bleach. Fill your container 2/3 full with water. tell class that when they were born, they had not sinned, and that they had pure clean hearts. As we get older, we all do things that doesn't please Jesus, mom, dad, etc. When this happens, our hearts aren't clean anymore. Add a drop of food coloring, stir. Jesus says that if we come to him and ask for forgiveness, that He will forgive us and love us no matter what. Add some drops of bleach. Tell the children that even though Jesus forgives, sometimes it takes a little bit for our hearts to feel happy again. If the water isn't clean, pure yet, add bit more bleach. Children will see the water change to pure again. This leaves a real impact on young children. They can see it happen and they remember how Jesus loves us always!
