This is a cute poem. I CAN'T GO TO BETHLEHEM

I can't go to Bethlehem far across the snow, But I can go to church and learn Of Christmas long ago.

I can't see the manger crib where Baby Jesus lay, But I can wheel our baby out and mind him everyday.

I can't give such gifts as gold, The wise Men had to show. But I can give a smile and love to everyone I know.

Santa's Prayer

The sleigh was all packed, the reindeer were fed,
But Santa still knelt by the side of the bed.
"Dear Father," he prayed "Be with me tonight.
There's much work to do and my schedule is tight.
I must jump in my sleigh and streak through the sky,

Got this idea off the Internet. We will be using it in our Christmas program. Kids love it and are learning it with record speed. It is a finger play.

Clop, clop, clop went the donkey's feet. Clop, clop, clop down the stony street.

Nod, nod, nod went Mary's head. She was so tired. She needed a bed.

Knock, knock, knock went Joseph at the door. Do you have room for anyone more?

No, no, no the innkeeper said. We don't even have one more bed.
