Take a brown paper bag and make a puppet of a shepherd--then take a toilet tissue roll and have child cover it with glue and cotton balls to make a sheep. Read the parable of the shepherd and the lost sheep. Let the child act out being the shepherd and looking for his lost sheep.

The Parable of the Shepherd and the Lost Sheep. Take a brown paper bag and make a puppet of a shepherd. Then take a toilet tissue roll and have child cover it with glue and cotton balls to make the sheep. Decorate with construction paper with ears, eyes, mouth, etc. Then reenact the parable.

Cut a toilet tissue holder in half lengthwise. Put the bottom on the top to form a manger. Staple together. Glue in hay. Take a peanut in the shell and draw a face on it. Wrap it up in a piece of tissue. Glue it into the manger.
