6-8-00We make our own bible. we cut out a big cross and sponge paint it with corn syrup mixed with food coloring. (It looks like a stained glass window). We glue it onto colored construction paper to make our cover. As we learn the different stories of the Bible, we color or draw pages from the different stories. At the bottom of each page they tell me the story in their own words and I write it down. We work on these for a long time and then give the Bibles to our parents at Easter. I am amazed at how much the children remember about each story! |
