Each child brings in an apple. The class counts them, sorts the different colors or sizes and then graphs by color and/or taste. Next lay each child down and line up apples next to them and count how many apples tall everyone is then record and display.
We play “hot apple” when we have apple day. This is like hot potato. We use an apple shaped bean bag and the children have to think of different ways to eat apples when the apple is thrown to them. This is fun and exciting for the kids.
