100th Day of School Snacks

On the 100th day of school, have each student bring from home 100 pieces of their favorite cereal. Have them bring this to school on the 100th day and then have some bowl and milk ready for them to begin their day with the 100 pieces of cereal.

On 100th Day, make a Fruit Loop necklace. The children sort colors of Fruit Loops by 10s and string onto a piece of yarn. Put 10 groups of 10 to make a necklace that easy to count. Use Dixie cups for easy sorting.

100th Day Snack Have each student pick from things like M&Ms, Peanuts, Raisins, Red- Hots, Peanut M&Ms, Chocolate Chips, White Chocolate Chips, Reese’s Pieces, Skittles, Froot Loops (anything to mix together like a snack mix), you may have as many different things as you want. Each person is to bring one of these ingredients to be placed in separate bowls. Each child takes a Ziploc bag and chooses 10 different ingredients from the choices and counts out 10 of the 10 and mixes it together to make his own 100th Day Snack Mix. Example: 10 Red-Hots, 10 Froot Loops, 10 Chocolate Chips, etc. until you have 100 items in your mix. Then Enjoy!

100 Day Trail Mix Each table of five students are given a snack item: popcorn, pretzels, peanuts, raisins, miniature marshmallows. They then make 10 rows of 10 to have 100 pieces of their treat. After each table has completed, the items are then placed in a large bowl and mixed. Each child receives a portion of the treat.

100 Day mix Have out 10 different bowls each filled with a different food item. i.e., a bowl of sunflower seeds, pretzels, raisins, marshmallows, Cheez-its etc. Give each child a zip lock bag with their name on it. Have each child take 10 pieces from each bowl and put in their bag. 10 items from each of the 10 bowls makes 100 items total. Now each child has their own bag of “100 mix.” Enjoy!
